Mission Language and Vocational School (MLVS). Latino Cuisine Culinary Academy (LCCA) is a vocational training program designed to improve employment opportunities in the restaurant industry through workforce development. Students with no or minimal experience in the restaurant industry are educated in the skills necessary to secure living wage jobs with advancement potential. Your support of the LCCA helps MLVS in its mission of empowering San Francisco's unemployed and working poor minorities, and serves as a true model of community reinvestment.
About MLVS
Mission Language and Vocational School, Inc. (MLVS) is a private, non-profit community education center located in San Francisco's Mission District. MLVS' mission is to provide Vocational English as a Second Language and job skills training to unemployed and working-poor immigrants and other minorities in the San Francisco Bay Area. At MLVS, we are committed to helping our students escape the cycle of poverty through placement in stable, rewarding positions in a variety of specialized fields. Since 1962, MLVS has helped over 20,000 individuals make the transition from poverty to self-sufficiency.
